     … Emotion …
    comes from
    StinkyPinky

Emotions, evident in almost any given instance, covering the range from ecstatically happy to miserably sad.  I can think of emotional instances I wished I had photographed i.e. the birth of my grand daughter or my own children.

As I am easily emotional and easy to entertain, I can get emotional just looking at scenes I photographed.  We bought a pumpkin, the first in many years to carve.  My other half and I will carve it together as he will be home, for the first time in years, for Halloween.  That is as emotional as it is going to get this week.

The Maple tree at the left makes me emotional enough to feel some pain inside.  Beauty does it to me.  See the pumpkins under the tent, that is where the pumpkin we bought was hiding.

Lots of pumpkins to choose from but I didn’t start the choosing until after taking the photos.

There is something very special about a beautiful Pumpkin. I can’t get past taking photos of them.  My thoughts are, if it warrants a photo, it’s an emotional thing.

    Halloween! Damn Scary

Out they go in droves to get
As much as they can find
    Hershey Bars and popcorn balls
    Sweet treats on younger minds
They’re dressed as ghosts and warlocks
    And Spider-Man is seen
With Super stars and their guitars
    And aliens all green

    Halloween’s damn scary
My heart thumps at the word
I cringe at every howling dog
    And every boo that’s heard
Little ones … they’re running screaming
    Having fun while parents pace
    As predators behind closed doors
    Hide masked and stoic face

Abnormal minds, they work them hard
    To think your child near
    Only common sense will keep
    Your children safe each year

     … Color!!! …

Color is a very personal word.  Most of us have colors that make us feel in particular ways.  I like most colors but I really love some.  Some colors are suitable for clothes and others for cars and some are particularly suited for anyone but me.  Going thru my photos I have selected a few that make me feel good looking at them just because of their colors.

This was a mixed color bouquet of tulips my daughter sent me for Mothers Day.  They were beautiful and lasted for days for lots of photos.

This mix was a planting at one of our shopping centers.

My favorite floral bouquet is always of mixed colors.  These mums were actually a fall display of Mums for sale at an outdoor stand.  They were so pretty they looked like Easter when I needed an Easter desktop wallpaper for my computer.

I have never grown Lilacs.  The Lilacs perfume does the bloom justice.  I needed some photos this spring for a project and so John and I did an all day hunt and photo shoot of lilacs.  Speak of beautiful color …

These Hydrangeas are growing in one of the gardens near the beach in Virginia.  I took it the year my daughter was married.  They have such nice gardens in the Virginia Beach area.  They took my breath away and I did enjoy taking photos of the great colors.  Feed Hydrangea acid fertilizer and they grow different and richer colors on the bush.

Very little fall color here this year and I think it isn’t going to be getting any better.  Here is some color from a stand we were at a year ago.  It makes a nice fall desktop.  Click on it to bring it up for use.

Enough for this trip.  Keep on taking those photos.

My world consists of a small area most of the time and a huge world a portion of the time.  The more I am on the computer, the larger my world is but the smaller the area I utilize.  I love my kids, my husband, good food, my computer, my camera, movies and the outside world in general.  I love nature and anything that helps make up what I see outside my door.

If you can see Java, CLICK ON THIS LINK, for a portrait of me doing one of my favorite things.  Give it a few to come in.  It’s small but Java sometimes takes a little while to be read by your computer.

A portrait of my family in collage
(definition of colage just in case some of you aren’t familiar with the term:  An assemblage of diverse elements. A paste-up sticking together pieces of paper or photographs to form an artistic image; such as “a collage of memories”)

Another self portrait, me and my camera and some of my garden flowers

A crowd scene at Friendship Flea marketMy photography plus some of my computer graphic manipulation.  See more, follow the link.

Again, my photo, my graphic work, two of my photos combined into a single graphic.  1- the vases, 2- flowering crab tree photo

Food!  My favorite coffee mug and breakfast.
Yummmy on a graphic of mine.

My photo, my graphic of one of American’s favorite personalities

My graphics and  my gorgeous daughter’s photo taken by someone else.  If she will provide me with the information, I’ll post the credits here.  CLICK HERE for my daughter’s (Halie’s) site.

A collage of my gorgeous granddaughter.
She is viewed here from a very young age to a teenager.

A Halloween desktop wallpaper I made.  Click on it to bring it up full size to collect for your use.  The photo is mine and the ghost is from a tutorial.  If you want to make the ghost, find the tute at this site, click here

See more of my photos, just flip thru this site and
    I have more on my
    LittleEgypt blog.

This entry can’t be complete if it is about me and doesn’t say a little about what I don’t like.  I don’t like to talk much.  I do much better typing my thoughts out.  I hate the telephone and have very little use for a cell phone or any of the newer ploys to take my money.  I am not anti spending money.  I just have mixed emotions about what to spend it on.  I guess we are all like that.

I finished my GraphicsCopyrights class.  I learned a lot most of which was I have no more interest in using or taking to use other peoples work than I had before.

Jail time doesn’t interest me in the least and I can assure you there is a law suit waiting around the corner for people who subscribe to Internet theft, taking things that don’t belong to them to use without proper permission from the artist.  The list includes graphics, photos, music, writing and I imagine a whole lot more.  See the link to the class on the left side of my page.  The group leaders include people who are in court regularly working against theft of copyrighted work.

Best regards and keep on taking those photos.

    My Pre-Christmas Portrait’s are of
    “The Feel of Christmas”

An overwhelming feeling, an unmistakable feeling comes over me when the season of Christmas manifests itself inside me each year.  I can’t pinpoint the date or time as it is something in the air and it just happens, like a presence, the presence of Christmas.  I honestly can’t ever remember it not happening.  Not explainable in words, you have to look into the air in these photos to see what I feel.  And, please don’t be fooled, we by no means have snow for Christmas every year but the photos with snow have for me, that extra feeling.

The photos I am posting for the challenge tweak my remembrance and I hope they do it for you as well.

There is a soft feeling in the air that plants itself in my heart.
    I think it is anticipation.

I feel it in the light and I see it in the trees

That may be bare and resting, snow covered

With a blanket of cold on the ground

But what I feel is a warmth

    In a message

    That I hear even underfoot,
In the crunch of the snow …
I feel a Portrait of Christmas

Wishing you all the same good feelings.
    Keep on taking those photos.
