Weekly Photo Challenge, “My World”
The
weekly_Photo_Challenge
always fresh and new on FridayThe subject
… My World …
comes from BlondeemumMy world consists of a small area most of the time and a huge world a portion of the time. The more I am on the computer, the larger my world is but the smaller the area I utilize. I love my kids, my husband, good food, my computer, my camera, movies and the outside world in general. I love nature and anything that helps make up what I see outside my door.
If you can see Java, CLICK ON THIS LINK, for a portrait of me doing one of my favorite things. Give it a few to come in. It’s small but Java sometimes takes a little while to be read by your computer.
A portrait of my family in collage
(definition of colage just in case some of you aren’t familiar with the term: An assemblage of diverse elements. A paste-up sticking together pieces of paper or photographs to form an artistic image; such as “a collage of memories”)Another self portrait, me and my camera and some of my garden flowers
A crowd scene at Friendship Flea market. My photography plus some of my computer graphic manipulation. See more, follow the link.
Again, my photo, my graphic work, two of my photos combined into a single graphic. 1- the vases, 2- flowering crab tree photo
Food! My favorite coffee mug and breakfast.
Yummmy on a graphic of mine.My photo, my graphic of one of American’s favorite personalities
My graphics and my gorgeous daughter’s photo taken by someone else. If she will provide me with the information, I’ll post the credits here. CLICK HERE for my daughter’s (Halie’s) site.
A collage of my gorgeous granddaughter.
She is viewed here from a very young age to a teenager.A Halloween desktop wallpaper I made. Click on it to bring it up full size to collect for your use. The photo is mine and the ghost is from a tutorial. If you want to make the ghost, find the tute at this site, click here.

I have more on my LittleEgypt blog. This entry can’t be complete if it is about me and doesn’t say a little about what I don’t like. I don’t like to talk much. I do much better typing my thoughts out. I hate the telephone and have very little use for a cell phone or any of the newer ploys to take my money. I am not anti spending money. I just have mixed emotions about what to spend it on. I guess we are all like that.
I finished my GraphicsCopyrights class. I learned a lot most of which was I have no more interest in using or taking to use other peoples work than I had before.
Jail time doesn’t interest me in the least and I can assure you there is a law suit waiting around the corner for people who subscribe to Internet theft, taking things that don’t belong to them to use without proper permission from the artist. The list includes graphics, photos, music, writing and I imagine a whole lot more. See the link to the class on the left side of my page. The group leaders include people who are in court regularly working against theft of copyrighted work.
Best regards and keep on taking those photos.

your daughter is a little cutie!
thanks for giving us an insight into your world, i’m too lazy to go sort out my photos.
the pictures are so …awesome… you have great skill in photos… wow..
have a nice day ! and keep on posting cool photos
enjoyed the gallery…. i recognized a few faces, mainly three
everyone has an idea of how their images should be; there’s no such thing as “your pictures are better than mine”, or “you have a better camera and that’s why your photos come out better”… i hear thoSe excuses so much… while havign a bigger better camera, it still is just a tool and will make lousy pixs as well as “better” pixs! how do i know?? ask me how many pixs i have to delete that aren’t fototaker-quality!!! so keep on at your photography… always enjoy your comments too!! thanks!!! your daughter is a very decent person; am honored to have her as a friend!!
Thanks for the comment, i see that you like to play with your pictures on the computer a lot… what program do you use? i use adobe photoshop cs

There’s an important announcement posted. Please come read it! ~Denise~
I enjoyed those. I especially liked the lake applet. I wish I knew how to do that… so cool.
those are so very talented and delightful! I so enjoyed. You really do great stuff. Thanks for sharing!
These are great photos and I love the one of you by the water very much
I love hanging around water too and I have to stick my hands in and play with rocks and things… I love all of these.
I think I need a better camera
and more patience would help too
yeah, cool stuff.
I’d love to join your photo ring but I need to know if 3D creations count.
nice work…and thanks for the birthday wish!
Lovely world you have there! I love the way you’ve combined images. Such an alluring effect. Makes you take a closer look to see just what you can find. Have a great week!!!
What fun!! Your “world” looks interesting indeed & quite creative to say the least!! I love your graphics & digital colages…beautiful work!!!
Sure hope camping isn’t all behind you now!! We’ve been going exactly as you have described ….throwing the futon mattress in the back of the truck and taking off! We had a truck camper for awhile but sold it when we traded the truck it fit on…….came close to buying a pull camper a few weeks ago but have opted for a new tent! Camping is something we both love to do & are actually planning our retirement around being campground hosts at a nat’l or state park. So start planning your get away now….a lot of parks anymore have nice little cabins you can rent as well!!
Becca, I have not been by in a while … and have fallen in love with your pictures. The scenes you capture are great … and your graphics are wonderful (including the Java one … that one is just gorgeous). Thanks for giving me a peek into your world.
Congrats on completing the graphics copyright course. There are still some issues of copyright that confuse me, such as what constitutes “fair use.” I’ve downloaded images from the Internet for the sole purpose of filling in pages of my journals, but rarely does the photographer or the copyright owner ever have information posted for proper attribution. I have no fear of prosecution, for I know the images are not my own, and my journals will never be read by the general public. They are for my own use. Still, it would be great to know who the photog was who took the pix.
I will say that for anyone busted in a copyright infringement the penalties are quite severe. And it is not a pleasant experience for either party involved. But the satisfaction in winning the case is rather pleasant. The warm fuzzy of justice is good.
I just updated my blog with four images. Three are from our trip to Carter Caves. I don’t know if I’ll have time to tell the story today or not. Drop by when you have a chance.
Oh, yeah…. here’s the link I owe you. It’s for the Canon Digital Rebel XT. I think it wil do what you want it to without costing you a king’s ransom.

How fun! I like the coffee collage as my favorite.
Great pic’s!
Really neat pictures. Thanks for stopping by my site!
Dear Becca,
I’m sure you won’t “remember” me. I haven’t been to visit here in such a long time. However , for me that never matters, if the webmaster keeps all the pages online, as in a website, so I can peruse and meander at will among the art and literature online.
I went back to April and the peacocks, which was the last entry I remember seeing, and checked out each subsequent entry. Since you don’t post all THAT often, it wasn’t difficult to catch up. I always thought it was neat that you have a separate “PhotoPost” site from your Little Egypt site.
Your expertise with the Photoediting program is fantastic. You seem to get better with age, like fine wine. (That is meant to be a compliment, I have only been online on Xanga for a little over a year, so “age” in this regard means the few months in which I have seen your “online work’ in regards to photography. )
I actually saw a comment on Liz’s site (the Queen of Swords) and clicked you from there.
As usual, as in your introduction to the javascript ”ripple” effect photo, you describe to your readers that the photo could load slowly and you always let non puter people know exactly what to expect.
I hope your cancer is far in remission, and that you are healthy and well. I can tell that you are still filled with love and passion. Sorry for the short comment, but it is late, and I still haven’t responded to the last round of comments from folks on my own blog.
Take care, and keep snappin those artful photos. I love the composite of your camera with the little birds and what looks like impatiens in the background.

thanks for your words and for looking further into it, I learned so much. We don’t have fox but we do have eagles and I had 4 flying recklessly around yesterday during the day, so they are another suspect… two of the chickens did show back up- so my loss from the other day is: 1 duck, 1 chicken- and she was fairly old so it could have been coincidence… it’s a mystery…
Well that’s just pretty cool that you live that close to Dayton….you did catch the PA part of that didn’t you???? Now my sister lives close to Dayton, OH……she’s north in Lima…it is a small world! Would love to catch up with you while we’re up there……see if you are “really real” Ha
