”Horse Power”
I love horses in any form. Some are so powerful you have to stare.
Warmblooded, four legged horser are found on race tracks and in fields and farms around the world but many small work horses travel every highway.
The biggest, baddest work horses cross the continents roaring their ownership of the roads.
This horse was so powerful, crisp and clean moving along side us it caught my camera eye and these photos were the result from this many wheeled traveler.

Horse Shoes
”Horse Shoe Photo”
This one was destined to be a ringer.
This above photo was caught on the spur. It was manipulated to save it for use as the movement made it pretty fuzzy. All in all, I like it. The horseshoe flying was a prize for me to catch as my camera isn’t nearly a professional type.
The ~Photo~Graphics~ ring has 13 members at this time. There is varied expertise and varied interests in photos but all have something worth viewing on their pages. I am hoping all will be very actively posting their photography. I hope to increase the membership. If I can find 25 to 50 actively posting photographers for this ring who post regulary, on their sites, their photos, I will feel very good about this ring. Fifty is a good number and to study that many photographers and see the varied photos thru their eyes will be an education in itself.

CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO SEE ENLARGEDI discovered a long time ago, the finer things in my life are the simpler things in life. I also discovered, you don’t have to be inside a building to worship. Worship, to me, is ”true appreciation” and if shown daily in the way we live and act, for all things, we have it going on. This small group seemed to “have it going on for them” and heads dropped when it was announced the blessing over the food would be said. The food and the fellowship was blessed, shared, appreciated and we were so fortunate to have the opportunity to spend a little time with old/best neighbors we could have ever have been blessed with. I know this church group is blessed as well with their participation. The pastor for this group is the first man behind the table on the left and our good neighbor, Bill, stands beside him. Bill and his wife (Ida, not shown) are responsible for the fact we don’t have a mountain of concrete standing in our drive as John almost heat stroked with the pouring of that one. Bill and son (not shown) saved the day and finished the concrete. I have story after story about Bill and Ida and can tell you if God truly exists, they (Bill and Ida) will be some of who get to meet him firsthand. I think, maybe, they already have.
More to come from the same picnic, a series of 6 or more photos I will post on this event.

CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO SEE ENLARGEDWe attended a church picnic on September 5th. The weather was perfect for a nice outing at our favorite local park, Lake Isabelle. I caught some pics I was happy with and have six photos to share in seperate blog entries.
This view is previous to our noon meal. The people were all nice country people, friendly, and talkative making a good overall family type outing as well as a photographic window.

CLICK ON THE PHOTOS TO SEE ENLARGED
We had out of town commitments this weekend. A friend is having repeated computer problems we have been trying to help with. Helping him takes us on a short road trip, a couple of hours either way. We see some strange sites on the road and this one really caught my eye as we pulled along side him on the highway. He was watching his rearview mirror to make a lane change. I’m glad we trucked on out of his way as I’m not sure where it was he got his license.
A closeup view of the driver.

This photo was taken last year in the heat of the season at Friendship, Indiana. It was a spur of the moment shot as we were crossing a bridge and saw these young swimmers in the creek having a great time. I was fortunate to have gotten the shot I did as most of what they were doing was beyond the camera to capture. I liked the photo and have used it on the Friendship site in a couple of places. Wouldn’t we all like to be that young and lively again? -

CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO SEE ENLARGEDThis planting caught my eye while driving past. The colors were so eyecatching we drove back to take a photograph. The interesting thing, the planting was at a spot on the grounds of a local shopping center and they had them spaced at every drive and corner. The rest of the plantings were the same leaves but the flowers were begonias, not these red/violet petunias and not nearly as appealing. I did the best I could from the car and out in the oncoming traffic at the driveins and outs. I wish the clarity was there in the flowers but, it makes a nice desktop and, I did it. I may have another shot I haven’t found as yet on another photocard.

CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO SEE ENLARGEDI love photography and my camera goes everywhere. I love shooting outdoor scenes: flowers, trees, bridges, fall colors, anything eye catching. I love to try to capture insects and that can be tough or has been for me. I like people shots requiring discretion but how discreet can you be with a camera pointed at someone. I do crowd shots and try to focus in on particular people who catch my eye trying not to be too direct but I want enough to tell a story.
