     ”Horse Shoe Photo #2″

I have no real idea how this game of shoes came out.  I was too intent on trying to capture the moments.  This moment I managed to get as it flew through the air.  I can say the man was intent on making that ringer and I imagine he made a few during the day as the game went on just about the whole time we were there.  I do know he and his partner stopped playing long enough to eat.

  • Reminds me of the picnics our extended family use to have in South Park. Sometimes I miss those simple days when I was a child.

  • “That is one crowd of running feet.  I am sitting here wondering just how you managed not to be squashed as they went by.  Super photo.  They must have all received a shirt with their entrance fee or something, they look like twins, tripletts, quads, is there a word for all those matching runners?”

Yup, the t-shirt was part of the sign up fee along with some electronic timing/tracking device you attached to your foot. I went to photograph a friend of mine that ran the 10K, lots of fun :) I waited at the start line, jumped into the middle of the street, took a few quick shots then ran the heck back to the sidewalk before I was stampeded! Thanks for visiting :)

  • we don’t play enough horse shoes out here, with our family so spread around the states all these sorts of games and past times are nearly forgotten… what a great shot- is this a preferred stance for throwing horse shoes?

thank you for all the compliments and invitations to blog rings… I would like to find a different topic to write about one of these days- my poetry is iffy- I don’t know the rules for how to write poetry but write out of frustration most of the time….. :o )..
