    Christmas Time is for Sharing

We aren’t doing anything out of the ordinary for Christmas but we always think more on family.  I make a lot of desktop wallpapers of my family so I can see them off and on during the day all year around while I work at things on my computer.  I thought I would share with you some views of my family thru some of the wallpapers I have made.  Some are older pieces and some newer but they all have a place on my desktop at different times of the year.

Eden and her dad and Halie, our daughter

Eden on the right.  I don’t know the girls she is with but imagine they are schoolmates or on her swim team in Spain.

The background is somewhere in Spain.  His tour of duty there is three years.  He has been in the service long enough to retire pretty soon.  I don’t know all the ins and outs of it but know he has seen a large share of the world.  Eden and Halie make as many tracks as they can also.  I’ll be glad when they get to come home.

Three years makes a lot of time for growing.  I almost don’t recognize her.  I hope she comes home willing to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa.

This is my favorite photo I have taken of Eden.  It’s how I always remember her.

Things are far from normal here right now.  We had planned on being away for the holidays but it didn’t happen and a good thing.  John is sick today and he is never sick.  We have snow for Christmas and that is a rarity.  I am way behind in everything.  We have not gone for Christmas goodies but if it doesn’t happen we won’t starve.  We love catfish and I have some in the freezer.  Catfish for Christmas dinner will suit us just fine.

I just hope he is feeling better tomorrow.  He did some walk shoveling yesterday and I think that kind of did him in.

    Till the next time,

  • Just How High R U

    Highs, are relative

Being crazy might help but, you don’t have to be drunk to be high …

The Cincinnati Zoo, an outdoor display for primates.  In the early mornings the hoots and hollers make it very noisy in this spot and an experience well worth … experiencing.

My sister peeking from a tower very near Galena, Illinois.  Built specifically, I think, for viewing the surrounding farming country of beautiful rolling hills.  It’s a bit hard to see unless you enlarge this photo but Bunhilda is peering over the edge of the tower on an upper ledge.

My best contrail.  I was lucky as we just happened to be at the right spot for this shot.  The shot of course was from our moving car but on an out of the way country road on our way home from my sisters in Illinois.  I was practically standing on my head, backwards out the car window to get the photos.  I took what I could.  I was glad it wasn’t freezing.

Not nearly the height but a good photo.  My grand daughter a few years ago in a sisters old Apple tree in Columbus Oh.
The photo is a favorite as is the grand daughter.

    Till the next time,
