… Color!!! …
comes from Cassandra_meColor is a very personal word. Most of us have colors that make us feel in particular ways. I like most colors but I really love some. Some colors are suitable for clothes and others for cars and some are particularly suited for anyone but me. Going thru my photos I have selected a few that make me feel good looking at them just because of their colors.
This was a mixed color bouquet of tulips my daughter sent me for Mothers Day. They were beautiful and lasted for days for lots of photos.
This mix was a planting at one of our shopping centers.
My favorite floral bouquet is always of mixed colors. These mums were actually a fall display of Mums for sale at an outdoor stand. They were so pretty they looked like Easter when I needed an Easter desktop wallpaper for my computer.
I have never grown Lilacs. The Lilacs perfume does the bloom justice. I needed some photos this spring for a project and so John and I did an all day hunt and photo shoot of lilacs. Speak of beautiful color …
These Hydrangeas are growing in one of the gardens near the beach in Virginia. I took it the year my daughter was married. They have such nice gardens in the Virginia Beach area. They took my breath away and I did enjoy taking photos of the great colors. Feed Hydrangea acid fertilizer and they grow different and richer colors on the bush.
Very little fall color here this year and I think it isn’t going to be getting any better. Here is some color from a stand we were at a year ago. It makes a nice fall desktop. Click on it to bring it up for use.
Enough for this trip. Keep on taking those photos.

These colors are awe inspiring I must admit. I am amazed at the variety of color found in nature alone … and the green in the second shoot just catches the eye as much as the magenta tone of the flowers. As always I love how you format the pics.
Lovely photos! I think Lilac bushes are both beautiful and the fragrance is beyond compare. But, all the photos are very good!
God Bless!!
Once again you’ve done a great job! I think the lilacs are my favorite but the hydrangias are awesome too!
Sorry for the confusion with Dayton!! I know I can get people lost when I’m talking to them….guess it’s bad that I can do it typing too!! ha We’ll be flying into Pittsburgh on the 29th and leaving on the 6th of Jan.. We are planning on meeting my sister who lives in Lima, Oh on Mon the 2nd somewhere….the last time we met at Zanesville……..I’ll keep you posted!
My in-laws anniversery is actually in March…it’s been kind of crazy but Dec ended up being the only time all 4 of there kids could be there. If it doesn’t work out meeting you this time around….we’ll be back!! Hopefully when it’s warmer!!
Fantastic colors…nothing like natures wonders
Beautiful
I’m borrowing the squash for my desktop for a little while, thank you! One thing I love about oncoming winter are the squashes…I love to eat them! Beautiful shots, I could almost smell those lilacs…
I enjoyed the last one. All those gourds. Where did you shoot that pic?
Beautiful mix of colors!
RYC: I can only say that the difficult thing wasn’t choosing a carpet, which I already knew I couldn’t afford, but convincing the carpet dealer I couldn’t afford one.
What a beautiful rainbow of colors. The first picture with the green (what is that lovely plant?) made me remember how much I enjoy shade plants. Oh, to be able to drop a lovely hosta in the earth about now. And to see the change of seasons and the yellows, oranges, and reds in the trees. Only a few more months.
hey becca, i really like the second one and the last one! especially the last picture actually! the whole mix of the nice warm colours and the rich textures really has brings out the feeling of autumn. i love autumn! it’s my favourite season after spring! =p
jo
urmm typo, really brings out, not really has brings out. my bad!
lush and lovely!
Very colorful! I noticed your comment on my daughter site. We lived very near Kings Island. We could go to a parking lot at the chruch and watch the fireworks. I liked living there. I miss it.
I love a bouquet that last and changes and makes you want to remember each phase of its existance. Rainbow is my favorite color. I think its a colorful irony that I’ve joined a danced troupe with that name. I love the color in life. Theres a public tv commercial that has stuck in my mind,” color is nothing and color is everything”. Have a great week!
Oooh. All so pretty! I love the blue’s, pink’s, & purple’s.
The pumpkins! Those are the best.
I love all these pics, but the green in the second one just jumps out. I love it.
Cool Pictures!
You live near KI? I lived in West Chester for a couple of years when I was a kid. I loved KI.
As always…gorgeous. And different tones with each I think. The first has soft a muted effect, while some of the other just POP out at you. Wonderful.
Awsome pictures. love your background.
