always fresh and new on Friday

… The Elements …
suggested by klicky43So much of my photography is elemental, rain, snow, clouds. I do have some new photos. The most current being our first snow that fell the day before Thanksgiving and some cloud cover. At this time of year it’s getting cold and dreary but I always find something to Photograph.
Thanksgiving Eve, actually the morning before. November 23, 2005. I can’t recall ever seeing snow on Thanksgiving week. I have tried to find internet records for weather in the Cincinnati area to see what the recorded snowfall was in past years but haven’t had any luck.
This week, the 28th of November 2005. This caught my eye and all I could think was how beautiful it was.
January 2005 flooding, Cincinnati area. It’s a regular happening.
Have a great week and
Keep on taking those photos.

comes from CliffsplaceA couple of things to cover the subject of religion, photos I took a a few winters ago.
This turned out to be a nice desktop photo and I love desktops. Enlarge by clicking on it then collect it. The words plus the photo. to me, you can’t get much more spiritual than that. Taken December, 2001.
This is a small church near us and I thought it was very quietly pretty for the season, 2001.
I did pass my html class this past week. If you would like to see what I have been doing you are welcome to take a look. CLICK HERE. I put up 24 pages, now 25 for the final chapter in the lessons. They required 4 or 5. I have been eating and sleeping html so made pages. Slow but sure. The pages are all pretty quick and easy to view. Two Java pages are a little longer to load if you have a slower computer.
I have been trying to get sick, headache and scratchy throat. Seems this time of year does a number on a lot of us. I am fighting it but I’m tired. Probably too much concentration on my class. I have catching up to do as always.
On that note, my outlook is good and I intend to have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope all of you do as well, Gobble Gobble.
One other thing, I have that over the river and thru the woods feeling, it’s happening, I can smell it in the air.
Keep on taking those photos,

Weekly Photo Challenge, “Weather Pics”

always fresh and new on Friday. The subject… Weird or Unexpected
“Weather Pics” …
comes from Crude_OilThanking the powers that be, I have been fortunate never to have been caught directly in bad weather. I have been too close for comfort but when you hide you don’t see much. Within blocks of tornadoes, they come and leave so fast, if you don’t have a storm watchers eye view , and your camera out, you don’t see much to photograph, only the aftermath.
I’m a cloud person actually. I think clouds have been more beautiful than I ever remember them before I got my digital cam. Here are a few of my “I was so fortunate to have seen them”, cloud photos. Weird, maybe not but always unexpected, wonderful cloud cover.
October 29 of 2001. These were the fluffiest clouds I have ever seen. Notice the trees how bare. My Photo of trees and pumpkins under the tent in my previous post was taken this year, October 28, 2005. My header was taken this year on October 27. The weather is very unpredictable.
This is February 2002. I don’t recall what was headed our way but it sure did make for some beautiful clouds.
This reflection of clouds is July 5, 2003. The festivities were still in full swing from the 4th in Old Loveland. You can tell there had been some heavy rain looking at the color of the creek.
June 14, 2004, we were at the Home Depot and I remember sitting in our car waiting while he took care of business inside. All the while, I am thinking “this looks scary”. I used a wide angle lens getting out of the car to get the shots. It was quite a site.
October 18, 2005 only a few days ago and it was special.
I’m late submitting this and am kind of out of sorts or not up to par but will get myself together to study some of the photos that have been submitted. I know I’ll be missing some great shots if I don’t check them out.

I don’t have a pet but I like animals a lot and I do photograph them when I get the chance. Here are some of my photographic headers I have made and used on my Xanga’s.
This photo was taken during the last big Cicada run in Ohio, 2004
A garden snail taken just outside my door
Bumble Bee, taken at Lake Isabella in a field of flowers
Garden Slug, taken just outside my door in October
A cousin’s beautiful cat
These three poses taken about a week ago. This darling cat walked up to and sat beside our car looking up at me asking for its photo to be taken. So, I did.
I have lots of zoo photos as well but you can’t do them all at one time. Enjoy and keep on taking those photos.
