Thanking the powers that be, I have been fortunate never to have been caught directly in bad weather.  I have been too close for comfort but when you hide you don’t see much.  Within blocks of tornadoes, they come and leave so fast, if you don’t have a storm watchers eye view , and your camera out, you don’t see much to photograph, only the aftermath.

I’m a cloud person actually.  I think clouds have been more beautiful than I ever remember them before I got my digital cam.  Here are a few of my “I was so fortunate to have seen them”, cloud photos.  Weird, maybe not but always unexpected, wonderful cloud cover

October 29 of 2001.  These were the fluffiest clouds I have ever seen.  Notice the trees how bare.  My Photo of trees and pumpkins under the tent  in my previous post was taken this year, October 28, 2005.  My header was taken this year on October 27.  The weather is very unpredictable.

This is February 2002.  I don’t recall what was headed our way but it sure did make for some beautiful clouds.

This reflection of clouds is July 5, 2003.  The festivities were still in full swing from the 4th in Old Loveland.  You can tell there had been some heavy rain looking at the color of the creek.

June 14, 2004, we were at the Home Depot and I remember sitting in our car waiting while he took care of business inside.  All the while, I am thinking “this looks scary”.  I used a wide angle lens getting out of the car to get the shots.  It was quite a site.

October 18, 2005 only a few days ago and it was special.

I’m late submitting this and am kind of out of sorts or not up to par but will get myself together to study some of the photos that have been submitted.  I know I’ll be missing some great shots if I don’t check them out.

Keep on taking those photos and enjoy.

  • I LOVE THE IMAGES

  • I would have guessed the first one was snow in an upside down world. Great shots. Thanks for stopping by.

  • On my November 6 post, the issue of copyrights came up.  It was mentioned that posting a story on the net would ruin chances of it being accepted by a major publisher.  Is the same thing true for photos?  If you have something great that you would like to publish, is it better to keep it a secret?

  • Wow, these are great, I esp. like that July picture, all blue
