  • these are good from tranquility… trees, they are so peaceful. Reminds me that I have ones I could share, but alas no time! I like the deer and snow shot- that’s something I don’t get to see here! Have a great weekend.

  • Lovely peaceful photos.  I think I’ll take a walk today for this assignment!

  • Nature, and especially water and trees are definitely representative of tranquility. I like the last picture you have added – Reminded me again that we find tranquility in nature.

  • Beautiful! I love the 3rd one down and the shot of the deer!

  • I agree – those are lovely, peaceful photos. Beautifully done!

  • Nature is so soothing, great shots.  I love, love, love the deer in the snow…what a fabulous photo!

  • I love the last one – that’s going to be me in my later years.

  • Lovely pictures.RYC  about the people in mine, they’re on a wall, some fishing some crossing, don’t worry they’re not drowning!

  • beautiful and i also love the third one down but my fav is the deer in the snow.

  • I’d sit in any of those spots…wonderful work!

  • I like the third one down the best. With the trees and the water it is very tranquil.

RYC: Lunch might be a bit better. What camera are you shooting with right now?

  • I love the third one…. I just discovered this challenge thing and I’ll post some pix this week…… Would love if you checked it out!

  • RYC: Yes, it would pretty much have to be a Saturday or Sunday. Money definitely is the name of the game when you start getting into some of the higher end cameras. I would highly recommend the Canon A640 if you are looking for an inexpensive camera that is 10 megapixels. It doesn’t have the interchangeable lenses but is a nice camera for about $300.

  • We can do lunch soon. You don’t have to buy mine.

There are lots of options when looking at cameras. I suggest reading some reviews when you are looking at specific ones. I chose the Rebel XTi because of the great reviews that were comparing it to cameras $1,000 more than my rebel cost.

  • Great pics, especially like the one of the deer.

  • These are are so good but i love the first one of the tree and of course the deer in the snow.

  • Good pics but I especially liked the one of the deer.

  • Good pics but I especially liked the one of the deer.

  • I love the 1st and 2nd shots. The green in the first is just gorgeous in contrast to the tree. The third, and even the first, would benefit from a filter, either a UV haze or neutral density (not sure). The first would benefit because of the extreme contrast between the shaded area and the sunny area on the grass. In the sun, you’ve lost your green. These are challenging shots, and you did really well capturing the lovely shaded tree without losing it to silhouette. Really, for what you’re using, it’s gorgeous.

  • I loved the tree’s too…but the deer photo is really good too…I love your background…

  • RYC: Hey! Thanks for stopping by, even though my pictures weren’t up yet. They are now! http://www.xanga.com/assipassi/617483631/item.html Be gentle with your critique, as I am just a humble amateur trying to put my pix out there!

And… .yes….. I AM a Harry Potter fanatic! But not so militant, that I can’t take any criticism. LOL! I agree somewhat with your “review” about the final book. But all in all it was an ending I hoped for, albeit a little abrupt at the end, as you said. Dan Radcliffe – somewhat of a fan, yes – at least so much that I want to check out what he does outside of Harry Potter. I love him in interviews, he seems very grounded and very smart. I think he has the potential to become really, really good one day. The major 4 have signed on for the last two movies. Somebody I’m totally crazy about is Alan Rickman (our favorite “bad” Professor Snape), whom I hope will also sign on for the last two movies, since he has major parts in the last two books. (Anyway… hence the “Sense and Sensibility” movie I just watched!).

  • Wow, each & every one of these are outstanding!

  • my favorite is the tree! i have spent many quiet moments sitting under a tree relaxing.

  • Especially, I like the deer and the lake, but right now tranquility is not what I feel when I see snow.

  • How does next weekend sound for lunch?
