Art Rage Challenge, “Pet Peeves”
The topic for the month of February 2008 is:
”Pet Peeves”It’s a definite I have pet peeves but the one I am most peevish about is lack of respect. A lack of respect leads to many transgressions and the transgression I include here for my pet peeve is “Trash”.
I tried to give my trash a bit of an artistic flair as it seems pretty sad to do an Art Rage with “Just trash”. I think the bits of color create opposites which make the trash seem even more trashy, a good thing if you are complaining, which I am.
The trash photos I took and I took quite a few were all centered in a single location of small shops in our area. My thought is if business owners care so little about keeping an area they sell from neat how can they expect respect from the shoppers? If I had the where with all I would make sure people caught trashing would pay stiff penalties and also do a lot of clean up to remind them just how much trashing affects us all.
My banners would read “Trash a little, Pay a LOT”.

I like the effect on the second one! — My pet peeve too. I hate all the garbage in beautiful places- and I’ve watched Italians picnic in garbage strewn fields and Arabs congregate in filthy deserts.. how can they not see how ugly that is? …
Some artists use the trashes to make sculptures .I forget the name of a famous French artist . Perhaps Cesar ? It ‘ s a nickname .

I like the slogan for your banners!
) And your trash pet peeve is a great one. Love the images!
one persons peeve is another persons piece of art, the first one could be under water, at first look i thought it was inside a fish tank, the second is a wonderful study of the subject.
Nice illustration Becca of almost every irresponsible citizen in the world.
