Weekly Photo Challenge, “Something Blue”
the subject from Stixandstonz is:
”Something Blue”
I am more a green person than a blue one, if speaking of clothes. There are some things tinted with shades of blue, just meant to be as blue as you see them. No other color is as perfect.

As the moist and temperate mists
Wash my wandering mind quite free
Of what my day should really be

Interesting fact about blue. Ever notice how dentist’s offices are blue? It’s by design. Blue is an appetite suppressant.

@kevrach - You spoil me a little, I appreciate your nice comments as they always make me feel good. I’m glad you are a fan of poetry that isn’t all that great but I do love to write it though I don’t put a lot on this site. Most of my writing goes on my LittleE as I sort of keep things seperated photos here, writing there etc but I do mix it up, seems more often than not. Thanks again.
@Sezwick - Blue is a least favorite color of mine but there are always exceptions for instance the sky and water and my dark blue Christmas Room you have seen photos of. I think Blue doesn’t work to calm me a lot, I’m pretty bad at the dentist. I think I come close to hyperventilating when there at times. The photo you chose is a very favorite of mine, Its the Mississippi River at Debuque, Iowa. I saw the barge and waded thru mud and weeds to get that photo. Hugs, Becca

I love old Chevrolets. The tree was just in the way in that picture. Other than that, great shots.
@flann00 - I would love to have gotten a better shot of the Chevy. It was following us on the highway and none of my rear view mirror images turned out. We left the expressway and he kept going and the image posted is what I was able to get form a sideways, distant, lucky, shot. I was fortunate to get it.. We love the vintage cars and as it happens, the 57 Chevy is a favorite. I’ll try a lot harder next time, maybe a headstand will be the order of the day

I think we better postpone the party… School started this week and I’m trying to adapt my new life after vacations… I can’t find time not even to post – I have all the “blue” pictures, now they need editing but I don’t have the time to do it… And it’s almost Friday!
It’s now 5.43 am and I need to have some sleep and get up at 10 to a new class with pupils that I know have “behavior problems”…

I think The Highwaymen say everything about country music for me, Willie,Waylon,johnny and Kris together,you cant get better than that! its just so sad that we have lost Johnny Cash, thanks for the link btw, I’ve also seen a couple of good films of Willie with Ray Charles on youtube.

@Timages - Yes, terrific of Willie and Ray. My husband and I watched some this week and were commenting on Ray Charles per his voice, his lyrics, his playing and how every note, word, lyric, melody, all in memory as he plays. He has to have been brilliant, a mind filled with music as his first language, not his second. Becca
