This weeks Challenge
”Your Favorite Season”
I love all the seasons. Making comparisons in my head while typing, I think I have to select Spring as my favorite. I do get worn out with CONSTANT EXTREMES like heat, cold, rain and snow. as I’m sitting here looking out the door at the fresh new green of hedges and pansies blooming and birds singing in the background I think to myself, the birds sing more in the Spring calling for mates, nest building, and claiming of territories. To me its all just singing, an emphasis, along with my door open to hear the bird song while looking at the Springtime colors.

in my part of the world.
1- 
Daffodils and Tulips are sure signs but when the Forsythia blooms, I know its Spring.
2- 
It’s Spring when I see balloons flying overhead. I took about a 100 frames of this fellow flying and managed only 1 with the gas flames. Thinking electric wires are dangerous enough without flames.
3- 
Frisbees flying in the park and guys in short pants and sleeveless shirts, while climbing trees to retrieve frisbees lodged in the branches, are a sure sign of Spring.
4- 
And seeing festival rides loaded in trucks, headed for a fair, is another sure sign of Spring. I know Summer is not far behind.
5- 
I love Vinca. It’s an early little flowering ground cover that doesn’t mind cool weather and it pops right out in the Spring. My blooming Vinca and pansies at the shops for setting out, are a strong indication it’s Spring.
6- 
When families are picnicking at the lake, cooking out and staying till dark, it’s Spring.
7- 
And seeing green leaves and growth reflected in the lake is a reminder of how much I like the season.

Beautiful especially the photo of the pansy.
I’m the same with extremes. I much prefer the days when just jeans and a t-shirt is all that’s needed. Not too hot and not too cold.
I like your pics – they often convey what I imagine ‘typical’ America to be.

I love pansies. They make me think of my mom. When I was a little girl, she told me the story about the little king sitting on his throne in the center of the flower and all the petals were his beautiful princesses surrounding him.
Well they all say spring to me Becca, we see hot air balloons around here quite often too must be fantastic to float above the treetops, exept my vertigo would cause a problem i’m sure, cant say i have a favorite from your photos this time exept to agree with everyone else about the flower.
