Weekly Photo Challenge: “5 Cherished Possessions”, Superstition, Super Close, Your Wheels”
This week, 4 challenge entries1- “5 Cherished Material Possessions” suggested by TressaD4- “Your Wheels” suggested by StixAndStonz
Its seldom I manage to make the break completely from the computer. This past month I managed more than usual doing some outdoor relaxing and a lot of movie watching. Any typing on the computer keyboard was strictly for the fun of it, no schedule no hassle attempting to salve the fact I DID NOT get to see my granddaughter graduate. My back dictates my schedules and it dictated that I stay home while John went to Virginia. I wasn’t terrifically happy. You would think I would be used to not always getting what I want. Anyway …1- suggested by TressaD 5 Cherished Material Possessions include Photos, Books, Movies, my digital camera and computer in that order and that totals 5. These things are what I’d be unhappy to lose over and above most other material things we have.More than 5 of my DVD in a pile. I changed my sorting method so piles everywhere.2- suggested by Polleekin SuperstitionDefinition from Thesaurus http://thesaurus.reference.com/browse/Superstition,Part of Speech: noun magic Definition: supernatural power; appearance Synonyms: alchemy, allurement, astrology, augury, bewitchment, black art, conjuring, conjury, devilry, diabolism, divination, enchantment, exorcism, fascination, foreboding, fortune-telling, hocuspocus, horoscopy, illusion, incantation, legerdemain, magnetism, necromancy, occultism, of impossible feats by tricks abracadabra, power, prediction, presage, prestidigitation, prophecy, rune, sleight of hand, soothsaying, sorcery, sortilege, spell, superstition, taboo, thaumaturgy, trickery, voodoo, voodooism, witchcraft, wizardry
The Ring stories/movies are based on this ring, the black magic it carries and the need to destroy it. I took the photo while watching my DVD on our television.3- suggested by TressaD Super Close Ups4- suggested by StixAndStonz Your WheelsOur one and only car.Hoping to get back more quickly this next time around.

I read at the beginning how much you have been hurt to not be able to go to Eden ‘ s graduation . This is a suffering . ( moraly and physically ) . Physically I hope you are on the way of the improvment , Becca .
About the picture above I love the ring for the purity of the style and also the chrysanthemum . You caught the petales with much sharpness . For this photo do you use a tripod or do you hold the camera yourself ?
We were in vacation until July 4 then the garden shouted at us for works to do and then the days fly , fly….
Today we have an incredible heat . No rain for three weeks .
Have a great week
Love
Michel
Awesome pics and well presented!
So sorry to read that you back is not so good at the moment Becca, mine tends to let me do something i really shouldn’t then pays me back for three days afterwards!
All lovely photos you have posted, i must admit i’ve missed one or two of the challenges.
Becca, I am glad you were able to make this post. In fact it has re-kindled my interest in the weekly photo challenge. Who knows I may even do it myself? I have so much time wasted on other social networks and I honestly believe that none of them are a patch on Xanga. All four of your entries are definitely a little window into your world and tell an interesting story. ~ Tim
Hope you are doing better and that John is able to get some pictures of the graduation for you. Glad to see that someone else is willing to post “late”. I have often wanted to go back and pick up some of the good subjects when I finally have a picture that suits it. Blessings Becca.
@gandywhite - Hi and thanks for your comments. Not many photos of the graduation. The distance from seating to the grads apparently was quite a bit, far enough away they weren’t sure who or where Eden was. Most of the viewing was done on monitors in the room, a far cry from how it was when I graduated. Halie did send me a lot of nice photos taken of family the week of. I imagine the yearbook will have things from the graduation when it comes out. Guessing you are eating a lot of nice things from your beautiful garden. Becca
