the Weekly Photo Challenge
The challengefor the week of January 15, 2010 was:
Photos that are “Emotionally Blue“
suggested by, Living_Embers
I am adding only one photo for this challenge but I think my subject is terribly ”Emotionally Blue”.
Goodbye
Goodbyes are always “Emotionally Blue”for me. Especially when the visits are few and far between because of distance. I know it’s the same for all of us. It’s really hard to say goodbyes to the people we love.
A sick computer never is a help when you have schedules you would like to keep. Everything is now fixed plus a new computer at its side. A belated and unexpected Merry Christmas to us.
Thanks always for your visits and comments.

Very emotionally blue. Goodbyes are always such a pull at the heart. Keeps us connected, I think. (pats heart and points to you)
Wow, it is a powerful image that really give the substance to emotional blues. Thanks for inviting me to stop by.
Becca I guess who are the people behind the windows saying good bye to you . There is the blue in the clothes and the blue caused by reflection of a part of the light . But your eyes were also blue .
The separation by the distance is a terrible thing that we experince too even if our distances are smaller than the yours .
Love
Michel
Cute shot! : )
Southern goodbyes have their own special flair: 30 minutes in the kitchen hugging and recaping, 10 minutes in the foyer hugging and patting backs. 2 additional minutes running through the house for the “I forgots”. 2-5 minutes for one more kid to potty. 3 minutes on the porch talking about the car or grass. 5 minutes, at least, standing next to the car hugging and blowing kisses. 3 minutes with everyone in the car and talking about “next time”. 30 seconds waving as the car pulls away. (And this was a quick get-away)
The picture of the guys behind the window says it all. This post is spot on, come to think of it I can not remember an instance of you doing one thats not. Good one Becca.
Very true. I like that picture.
Dear Becca,
What a lovely photo. A last goodbye to remember. Yes, it’s “Emotionally Blue”.

@Jaynebug - A late look at responding to comments on my Emotionally Blue photo I put up for the weekly challenge. You are such a sweeting, I love the pats heart and points. You are one big SMILE. Thanks for your comment.
@Zeal4living - Thanks for taking me up on the invite. I’d have no comments at all with my late entries and I’m having a time keeping up. I always enjoy your photos. I think you may be my only link to the great continent you call home.
@fauquet - Michel, I know you don’t get these response comments but you are always a lift in my day. Such nice things you always say are like vitamins.
@WakeUpLaughing - Thanks for stopping and looking at my Emotionally Blue photo. I appreciate you taking the time.
@gandywhite - I know I left a tidbit of a response to your comment on my Emotionally Blue photo, on your site. But, It was fun reading your in depth comment and wanted you to know how much I enjoyed it. Little smiles add up to good days. There was a time we had a really big family gathering every year, a reunion on a cousins farm. All the old people are gone now and I find myself old. Visiting is harder now, everyone so far away and all in different directions. My other half has a sister on the west coast he may never see again because of distance and age. Goodbyes are very hard and think they will be even harder because of distance. Thanks so much for taking time to stop by. Reading your latest challenge entry I have a new realization of just how busy you are.
@tim_beddard - Tim, you always make my day just by being there. You help make them very special, like the topping on ice cream and cake.
@Czolya - I always appreciate a stop from a world traveler. It’s a wonder you find time to do all you do especially comments. Thanks so much for your stop. Becca
@DailyPhotos - Isabelle, hello and thank you always for your stop (this one for my “Emotionally Blue” challenge entry). I recall a question you had concerning weather or not you should start a ring for your daily photos. It might make things easier for you to keep up with what people post for daily photos. I’ll join and will have to get on a horse to post a photo daily but how hard can it be? I have tons of oldies but a new photo every day may take some thinking. I have a lot of clutter I could photograph but what an embarrassment it would be. Hugs from here. Becca
