Another entry I had to so some thinking about. I came up with the following.

    My Photos

What’s behind me are things I can’t do anymore and things I haven’t a lot of interest in doing anymore.  For instance, clothes shopping isn’t an interest but I enjoy TJMaxx home goods area and Bed Bath and Beyond if I have a need but my favorites is looking ahead to thrift stores.  It’s amazing the finds and for the money spent I am beating the system a little.

What’s behind me is strenuous sight seeing.  Mountain climbing to the tops of the Sears Tower or long walks to get to anyplace doesn’t work anymore.  Photos from the car or a a picnic spot in a park or from the front porch is very under rated sightseeing, and you can enjoy some lunch at the same time.

What’s behind me is walking sandy beaches and tanning under the hot sun but I never did like sand in my clothes and would rather take photos of others in the water.

What’s behind me is biking, climbing, running, and active sports but I find more time for movies, books, cooking and there are always the dishes waiting in the sink.

What’s behind me are the thrills and the fun of theme parks but I still get some photos of those who still take those rides.  But never let it be said I can’t look ahead to the thrill of perfect Ice cream and necter soda, cold as ice on a hot day.

Lots of things are behind me but life’s little things waiting out front are as amazing as they ever were.

  • These are neat. Back of people shots are what I tend to get… :) I like the bicyclers and the foot shot!

  • @guestbrief - Hi, I get a lot of back of people shots and actually kind of prefer them.  No one hollers because I took their photo and the good ones come out as interesting as if their had been faces in them.  Those I take with faces are usualy from a distance or from the car as we fly by which was the case with the bicycles.  The feet are mine, I’m an avid fan of wading.  Thanks for stopping by and your comment.  Becca

  • That photo of Chicago is great, Becca; nicely composed!

  • Always enjoy looking at your photos Becca, sorry I have missed this one. Somehow I am finding it hard to keep up with Xanga these days. Guess I must try and put that behind me. LOL!
